Frome took on Wells and Midsomer Norton last night to recieve the award last night from this years judge Micheal Eavis. He was impressed with all 3 of the shortlisted markets and was particularly taken with the music which is a regular feature of Midsomer Norton- no surprise there!
However the scale of the Frome Market its wonderful Cheese & Grain venue and array of choice available tipped the balance and saw Fromes 2nd consecutive win.
The town itself won a triple accolade winning Best Food Town, Best Farm Shop aswell as Best Farmers Market a well deserved win which the people of Frome should take great pride as each success is dependent on customer loyalty!

Our own Westcountry WaterBuffalo won the best Meat Producer and Ruth Kimber won the Harmsworth Award for her contribution behind the scenes with the NFU and campaining work for dairy farmers in the region.
